“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
— Matthew 18:20

Generation Ministries offers several bi-weekly Small Groups of around 5-7 people who want to read the Bible together and align it with their daily lives. Below are the core values that a Small Group offers and promotes.

biblical conversation

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." -2 Timothy 3:16-17

Small Groups center around the Bible and its relevant truths for our lives. We want our identity and daily decisions to be inspired by God's Word. Our discussions focus on who God is, Biblical instruction, and its application to our relationship with God and with those around us.  We read Scripture together and discuss what the Bible means and how we will live it out in our following weeks.

discipleship community

"I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought." -1 Corinthians 1:10

A Small Group community promotes relational growth in our relationship with God and with each other, as a church family. Small Group is a perfect opportunity to create meaningful relationships with each other inside and outside of small group.  Our Small Groups promote one-on-one discipleship relationships, which help each member grow in their individual walk with God.

vulnerable honesty

"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed..." -James 5:16

The Small Group environment encourages members to be real with their relationships with God, so they can be healed by love, encouragement, and prayer. Our conversation is confidential, which makes small groups a safe, judgement-free zone. We meet to uplift and build each other up in whatever struggles we face.

loving accountability

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." -Hebrews 10:24-25

In discussing Biblical application to our daily lives, we encourage members to make proactive goals for the following week. Small Groups not only pray over those goals, but we also encourage each other to pursue them. Each week, we ask for updates on how those goals are going and what areas we can continue to pray for them.

prayer and encouragement

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people." -Ephesians 6:18

Small Groups pray with each other and for each other. We pray for the goals that we set for our upcoming weeks, our struggles, and any specific requests. We also diligently pray for the people God lays on our hearts, to reach out minister to.
